Nice, clean, pleasant looking interior. Wait staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Food was good and thankfully menu has several vegetarian options. However, if you are looking for lots of flavor, look elsewhere. The food was only mildly seasoned. Salsas were nice since they provide both a traditional tomato salsa as well as a warm bean dip. We only went here after being rerouted off 95. I'm glad we did and will likely return.

We've been eating at Poco Loco for years. The food is always great and the staff is wonderful. They make you feel welcome. Outside dining is available so you can eat there while it's fresh, even now with the COVID-19 restrictions. Their specials are awesome when you feel like splurging. Love the empanadas too. Great menu and reasonable prices. Build your own combo with things you love. Generous portion sizes...i always take half home for lunch the next day.

This is the best Mexican restaurant for 50 miles at least. The staff is amazing. Poco Loco is my new favorite restaurant! Keep up the good work!

The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. Good selection on the menu and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Also the presentation of the food dishes when served are pleasant to the eye. Would do again when looking for Mexican.

One of the two absolute best Mexican restaurants in the Fredericksburg area. The steak in my taco was rich and tender; the only improvement could have been an extra reinforcing tortilla. The tortillas were supple and delicious, obviously handmade, but one was not up to the task of bearing the whole taco. The sauces and salsas, also handmade, are NOT TO BE MISSED! Apply them liberally. The atmosphere is bright, happy and welcoming. There is an outdoor patio for nice weather.

Restaurant was nice and clean and had music playing throughout our meal. Outdoor seating is available if you wish. Food was good and served insanely fast. They brought out our son's kids meal first and we had our fajitas out before we even finished feeding him. They provide commentary chips and salsa along with a bean dip. They even went and provided a free scoop of ice cream for our son. My wife and I ordered a slice of their mango cheese cake which was amazing. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for Mexican food.

Food was fabulous 😍 good sized portions too. Staff are very nice- eager to please. Decor is bright and cheery- authentic. Fresh made guacamole and tres leches cake were especially yummy 😋

Ordered tonight for the 1st time. Food was amazing. Wanted to give my money to a local business, not a chain business. Especially during these trying times, we are all trying to survive. I ordered 5 meals and 3 appetizers. The girl said 20 minutes. I thought there is no way the food could get here that fast. Sure enough it was. Best Mexican food ever!

Our daughter has been bragging about this restaurant for a long time. I'm not a fan of Mexican cuisine, as I have a sensitivity to spicy foods. We had our first meal tonight wanting to support a local restaurant during the quarantine. All I can say is WOW!! The chef does everything from scatch from the tortilla chips to the Tres Leche Cake. The food is flavorful and just plain delicious. The refried beans are outstanding. If you want it spicy you can ask for it, but if you like it mild, this hits the spot. Plus the portions are generous and we have enough for a second meal. We will be ordering again as the delivery was prompt.

I'm so happy to say that Polo Loco is it!!! If you like spicy, ask for the spicy salsa🌶. And try their Homemade Guacamole and their Polo Loco Margarita!! They will not disappoint! Cheers!! Poco loco is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the Fredericksburg area. Don't let the look of the restaurant deceive you. The restaurant is located in a historical tavern. The margaritas are awesome, the food is always fresh, and the service is great.

I have passed by Poco Loco many times due to the great location. However, when my husband & I visited the so called 'authentic Mexican restaurant', we expected the authenticity to be a little better than it was. We were pleased with the service with a smile., However we expected more as far as the taste of Mexico. We have definitely tasted better food at several local restaurants. We enjoyed ourselves due to the kindness of the staff & the little tiki bar that added a special touch. The food could have been better, and It almost tasted as if it was from a can instead of specially made for us with a true Mexican touch. Even though the appetizers were great including the homemade guacamole & taquitos, the dinner itself was a bit of a let down.The prices were also very high for the area in which it was located, in the small area of Thornburg. I would suggest that they hire an experienced chef with that special touch that makes you crave the next visit by just thinking about their entrees.

We stopped here a year ago and if i wasnt so tired Id probably stop by right now since Im in the area. I really enjoyed the homey feel. And the salsa..omg the salsa was so good I had 4 bowls.

Service was fabulous. Food was above par for most Mexican restaurants. Carnitas was very traditional and superior to most. Drinks were made proper and fresh with a proper shake. Side items were better than most.Only downfall was atmosphere. Lights too bright, oddly shaped dining area and is smaller inside as one would assume looking at the exterior. Music barely heard in the background. Overall, I highly recommend.

Just got to my hotel and was starving. Asked the front desk where I should go to eat, she said don’t go order in they deliver and they are awesome. Having eaten at Mexican restaurants in ny Los Angeles and even in Mexico City this is one of the best I ever been too. Their loco grande burrito is amazing.

Food and service was truly authentic Mexican!! Stopped here on Sunday afternoon/evening when there is usually traffic on interstate 95 (and route 1), and this is not too far away from interstate 95 (thornsburg exit). Great place to stop for fast authentic Mexican food! Seated immediately and no wait. Highly recommend!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Fresh and delicious food. Bean dip is yummy, as is guacamole. Every dish I’ve had here is good. Even the hamburgers! Best fajitas... not loaded with oil like some places. Staff is the so kind and friendly.

Staff is excellent, very attentive. Extremely knowledgeable about each dish on the menu. Food portion is extremely generous. The steak burrito I had was the best that I have tasted in a long time. My aunt and I will definitely drive up from Richmond again to enjoy this authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices.

Poco Loco is a family-owned restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very pleasant, the food is delicious and the margaritas are well worth your time - the bartender does not scrimp. We are local and it's wonderful to be able to nip down the way and have a lovely meal at a very reasonable price. Stop in and enjoy yourself.

Amazing local restaurant that offers huge portion for cheap!

I’ve eaten here with coworkers many of times and the food is delicious, service is always great. Tonight I decided to go there with a friend for some delicious food and margaritas to wash it down. The food as always was delicious however that was hands down the worst margarita I’ve ever had. I tried the frozen mango and my friend had the frozen strawberry. The flavor so was artificial it was impossible to even choke down. Cough medicine and tequila or crayons and tequila may be comparable? If you’re looking to grab a margaritas with friends, I’d advise elsewhere. If you’re just going to eat, highly recommend. The food is delicious... margaritas not so much!

I come here every so often, I love the burritos they are stuffed full of deliciousness. Very nice environment staff is very friendly. Place is kept clean as well.
